Second weekend of March every year Swan Hill celebrates what the region has to offer with the Swan Hill Region Food and Wine Festival. Three days of events, festivities, tastings, entertainment and food and wine focused happenings all over town. With the BIG day on the Sunday at the Pioneer Settlement where there will be plenty of fun for everyone!

The Swan Hill Harmony Day is an annual March festival that celebrates cultural identity and diversity.
The community is invited to come together and celebrate culture, music and food at Swan Hill Harmony Day, a free family-friendly event taking place at Riverside Park.
This vibrant event celebrates the many cultures that make up the Swan Hill community and offers an afternoon and evening full of entertainment, food and activities for all ages.
June Racing Carnival
The Swan Hill Racing Carnival is one of Victoria’s hallmark country racing events featuring three race days held annually over the King’s Birthday long weekend in June. Accommodation in the area books out months in advance due to the carnival’s huge popularity with racing fans from far and wide.
Prior to the global pandemic, a record 10,500 racegoers attended the three days of the carnival in 2019, including more than 5,700 on Swan Hill Cup day.
The carnival begins on the Friday each year with the Pooles Accountants $150,000 Golden Topaz, followed by the Swan Hill BusBiz Family Fun Day incorporating the Quambatook Cup on Saturday. The main event – the bet365 Swan Hill Cup – runs on Sunday with prize money now up to $175,000.

The 2026 Whitfield Excavations Swan Hill Show is set to be our biggest yet, packed with thrilling competitions, mouth-watering food vendors, fun game stalls, exhilarating rides, and a charming petting zoo for the kids.
And of course, no Show is complete without the classics—showbags, dagwood dogs, and fairy floss—all leading up to Swan Hill’s best fireworks display, proudly presented by our friends at Southern Cross Fireworks.
Market Day
The Swan Hill Market supports local businesses, farmers, artisans and musicians in order to provide a marketplace for trade, promote local businesses, and attract tourists.
First Sunday of the Month.
Funds raised by the Swan Hill Market go towards supporting local children.
WE BELIEVE IN UNICORNS INC is a non-profit charity support group- just simply, a community working together all year round to raise funds to support struggling families.

Mallee Almond Blossom Festival
The festival is returning and will be bigger than ever!
The Mallee Almond Blossom Festival is an annual event that showcases the products, people and art of the Mallee District. The Festival coincides with the blooming of the almond trees at the beginning of spring.
Held on the grounds of the Robinvale Community Arts Centre overlooking the beautiful Murray River, come prepared for a wonderfully relaxing day sampling and purchasing local produce, plus all day entertainment for the whole family.

Experience Australian history first hand as you explore the Pioneer Settlement Swan Hill.
Set on three hectares of land on the banks of the Little Murray River, you will find real-life Mallee cottages, a hotel, schools and shops, plus our enormous collection of working tractors and machinery. You can feel the heat in the blacksmith shop, listen to the sounds of the old Pianola or take a ride through our Mallee township on a horse and carriage. And that’s just the beginning…
Murray River Pyap Cruise
