Second weekend of March every year Swan Hill celebrates what the region has to offer with the Swan Hill Region Food and Wine Festival. Three days of events, festivities, tastings, entertainment and food and wine focused happenings all over town. Coming to Swan Hill May 5th 2024. Smoke on the water is a festival of smokey meats, tasty beverages, market stalls, family fun and BBQ competitions for the whole family. June Racing Carnival
The Swan Hill Racing Carnival is one of Victoria’s hallmark country racing events featuring three race days held annually over the King’s Birthday long weekend in June. Accommodation in the area books out months in advance due to the carnival’s huge popularity with racing fans from far and wide.
Prior to the global pandemic, a record 10,500 racegoers attended the three days of the carnival in 2019, including more than 5,700 on Swan Hill Cup day.
The carnival begins on the Friday each year with the Pooles Accountants $150,000 Golden Topaz, followed by the Swan Hill BusBiz Family Fun Day incorporating the Quambatook Cup on Saturday. The main event – the bet365 Swan Hill Cup – runs on Sunday with prize money now up to $175,000.
River Lights - Yana Waingi in 2024
River Lights is a place where you can explore and immerse yourself in an unforgettable and vibrant night-time activation, light sculptures, dazzling laser effects, interactive projection and magical holograms. NSW Open Golf Regional Qualifying Series
With a $50,000 purse on offer at each (professionals only), the top three placegetters (professional or amateur) at each tournament will also secure a start in the 2024 NSW Open at Murray Downs later in the year.
Guest appearance from Cameron Smith will be there! Cam Smith an Australian professional golfer who currently plays on the LIV Golf League. He won the 2022 Open Championship, and has won five other tournaments on the PGA Tour, including the 2022 Players Championship. He has also won the Australian PGA Championship three times

Tennis Victoria Country Week 2025
While the world’s best tennis players take over Melbourne Park at the Australian Open, Tennis Victoria is looking ahead towards the largest grass court tournament in the world, Tennis Victoria Country Week.
In the 2024 edition of this much-loved tournament, 222 teams and over 1300 players have registered to participate in Wodonga from 11 – 16 February 2024.
In anticipation of the 2024 tournament, Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce the 2025 venue for Tennis Victoria Country Week, which will return to Swan Hill Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club from 9 – 14 February 2025.
Swan Hill Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club is the only Country Week venue that can host all 100 grass courts on one site and is a favourite among many Country Week players.

Come watch some of Australia’s top professionals play for the Kel Nagle trophy NEXT WEEK at Murray Downs Golf & Country Club, including Cameron Smith – 2022 Open Champion and Captain of the 2024 LIV Golf Team Champions playing alongside Rising Ripper GC Star Lucas Herbert.
Besides Herbert and Smith, several other high-profile professionals have also committed to the NSW Open, including former champions Harrison Crowe (2022), Josh Younger (2019), Jake McLeod (2018), Aaron Townsend (2008), and Rick Kulacz (2006).
